Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Adolescents
Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Adolescents (DBT-A) is a structured therapy that helps adolescents learn to manage their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. It combines cognitive behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices to teach skills in five main areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, walking the middle path and emotion regulation.

DBT-A is particularly effective for adolescents struggling with emotional dysregulation, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and other challenging behaviors.
The DBT-A model consists of four components for youth aged 12-18 and their caregivers/parents.
